I don't have a good answer for that question. I am just blogging for the pure joy of letting myself share some thoughts in cyber space. I could have easily just started a private diary, but every diary I've started has been left incomplete. I always start out strong and write in it everyday and then it becomes every other day and then every other week and then every other month and then before you know it, every other year. So maybe if I start a blog, I will be more motivated to keep up with it. The mere hope of some bored stranger stumbling upon this and reading it for pleasure because they might find my mundane little life interesting (haha...right...), I am here like an open book, willing to share my life experiences (little as it may be...).
Ok...enough justification for starting a blog....here's the meaty stuff...
I have been making VERY LONG drives across the entire California, up to Oregon, into Washington and now I've landed myself in Arizona! It's been an exciting journey so far and I've seen so many amazing things and met so many amazing people along the way! I just want to share some pictures I took while I was making my 6 hour drive from California to Arizona. And yes...these pictures were ALL from the SAME day if you can believe it!
I drove through a SNOW STORM IN SAN DIEGO!! Can you believe that?? SAN DIEGO!! I was scared out of my mind! I thought I was going to die for sure! I was already running through phone numbers of people I wanted to call (while I was trying to drive through the snow storm) and give them my farewell...but then I realized it's probably NOT the best idea to fumble with my phone while I was trying to navigate through a snow storm...and since I didn't die...I'd say that was a smart choice :)
So an hour later...I was in the land of sunshine and blue skies in Arizona!! What a stark contrast from the snow storm an hour earlier!!
I found a rainbow in Arizona! I wasn't able to full capture it but the arch of the rainbow straddled the road that I was driving on and then somehow, when I was driving directly underneath it, the rainbow DOUBLED! So I was driving through TWO rainbow arches!! It was really cool!!
I have been driving so much lately that I actually see really cool things along the way. I know this is WAY dangerous to try to take pictures of these things when I'm going 80mph, but I only do it when I feel like it's not going to endanger my life or the other people in the other cars. The pictures of the snow storm were cutting it kinda close...but that's why I didn't get shots of me driving through the REALLY bad snow storm, these pictures were taken right before the BIG snow storm. Ok, again, enough justification.
Well, all in all, driving for 6 hours straight through a snow storm, a desert, two rainbows and deciding to blog about it right after is really tiring. I think I'm going to call it a day and say this is a pretty decent first entry blog.
Happy reading! :)
